Things to discuss at your first faculty meeting:

• Discuss when your weekly meetings will be
• Talk about first day expectations and the intro video you will share with them for their students
• If they regularly have group work, how would they like you to engage with the students
• Best way to get in touch with them
• Talk to them about creating a collaborative community outside of Canvas like with Discord or Pronto
• Suggest/ask about different ways the faculty member can help “sell” SI and encourage attendance
• Let them know how you’ll be contacting the class
• Set expectations about what SI is and what your role is in the class
• SI Sessions don’t start until week 2

Things that might be helpful to discuss at weekly faculty meetings:

• Topics coming up that could use extra attention in SI
• How to continue encouraging attendance
• Ask about potentially useful materials the faculty member might be able to provide - practice questions, old exams etc.
• Discuss upcoming exams
• Discuss any topics that the students might be struggling with and why they’re struggling with it
• Share some activities you’ve been doing or are thinking about doing in your sessions
